Windows & Mac OS X

On Windows and Mac OS X, simply double-click on the icon of the downloaded file. A simple installation program will guide you through the installation. If you are installing from a CD, the installation process starts automatically, once you insert the CD into your computer's CD drive.

Linux

The Linux version of the ValuAdder installer is a shell script. On some systems, it may be enough to click or double-click on the icon of the downloaded file. If you are asked for the name of a program to open the file with, use /bin/sh.

If that fails, you may need to use the command line to run the installation program. To do this, change to the directory you placed the downloaded file in, and run sh ./name, where name is the name of the downloaded file, such as ValuAdder-linux-x86-5.0.sh.

Once you run the shell script, a simple installation program, similar to the one in the Windows and Mac OS X versions, will guide you through the installation.
